Is Olive Oil Good For Acne And Oily Faces?
I am 15 years old, my facial skin is very oily u0026amp; lots of zits like on the cheeks and on the forehead. even zit-blown zits are big but there are no white spots like zits on the cheeks. however, I wear skincare before going to sleep using olive oil. I want to ask, is it good to use olive oil for facial skin like that?
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Olive oil (olive oil) is one of the many compositions contained in facial cleansing oils. Olive oil is also known to contain many vitamins and antioxidants that are good for nourishing the skin while minimizing inflammation (including acne). Not only that, olive oil is also useful in maintaining skin moisture, while also reducing the production of excess oil which often causes the growth of acne.
However, the use of olive oil also needs to be done carefully so as not to cause the skin to be more moist so that the pores become clogged and trigger more blackheads and pimples. In some sensitive people, the application of olive oil to the skin can also trigger allergies, which makes the skin feel itchy, reddish, bruntusan, swollen, and certainly further aggravate acne.
Therefore, you should check with your doctor or dermatologist so that your skin type is evaluated, as well as the type of acne that you are experiencing, so that the best treatment can be given.
To help treat oily and acne prone skin, the following steps are worth trying:
Wash your face with special anti-acne soap formulated for oily skin (oil free)
Don't rub your face too hard
Use a moisturizer and sunscreen before leaving the house
Do not squeeze pimples by force
Do not also hold facial skin with dirty hands
No excessive activity in the sun or in a polluted environment
Drink water and eat more vegetables and fruit
Don't stress too much
Do not use anti-acne products carelessly without consulting first to the doctor
Hope this helps ...
