Is Rope Jumping Safe For Leaking Heart Disease?
Hello doctor, I am 18 years old, I have a heart defect that has leaked since I was 1 year old. What I want to ask is whether jumping rope is safe for my leaking heart condition?
Hello Nurlaila, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Cardiovascular disorders leak, especially those that have occurred since children there are several types, depending on the location of the disorder where each disorder has a degree of severity of each.
For sports in patients with heart leak abnormalities, basically it must be adjusted further to the abnormalities experienced, the severity and also the physical condition of the patient, not all sports can be done by people with heart leaks, especially heavy sports.
Jumping rope itself is good for heart health for people who don't have heart problems, but it can make the heart work harder for people who have abnormalities, so if you want to do the exercise, you should first consult with your doctor who treats the disease your heart, are you really not able to do the sport or allowed but with certain restrictions.
For now, you should avoid various sports that are heavy enough for your heart to work, and do moderate exercise such as swimming or walking leisurely. For other sports, you should first consult with your doctor before doing so that limits can be determined.
I hope this helps.
