Is The Widal Examination An Indicator Of Determining Care Or Not?
My lab results are SALMONELLA TYHPI H 1/320 and SALMONELLA PARATYHPI B 1/60 … do these results indicate that I need to be hospitalized
Typhus is a disease caused by a bacterial infection that attacks the digestive system. Typhus is transmitted through contaminated food. One of the supporting tests that can help diagnose typhus is the widal examination.
Widal examination is not an indicator to determine hospitalization or not. To determine whether it needs to be treated or not depends on your clinical condition. If indeed your clinical condition seems dehydrated, looks weak, there is a decrease in consciousness, nausea and vomiting are severe then this usually requires hospitalization. So that not all cases of typhus require hospitalization.
To determine whether you need hospitalization or not, then you should check with your doctor first, so that the doctor can check your condition directly.
