Is There Any Connection With Gonorrhea With HIV?
About 5 months ago I had gonorrhea, after being cured and pus came out in the genitals, but after a few times itchy lumps of skin appeared which if broken out came out clear water and suddenly turned red, then now the lower neck of the jaw is like a lump that doesn’t hurt but if pressed it will hurt, does that include symptoms of HIV?
Hello Bagus Prayoga,
HIV or human immunodeficiency virus is a virus that can attack the human immune system. HIV infection can be transmitted through sexual contact with partners who suffer from HIV / AIDS, get a blood transfusion from people with HIV / AIDS, use syringes in exchange with people with HIV / AIDS, manufacture tattoos using tools and needles that are not sterile, and is transmitted from mothers with HIV. / AIDS to her baby during the process of pregnancy, childbirth, or breastfeeding (ASI).
AIDS is a cluster of symptoms that arise later due to HIV infection which weakens the immune system of sufferers. Symptoms can vary from mild ones such as fever, recurring sore throat, prolonged coughing, enlarged lymph nodes, as in conditions with other viral or bacterial infections. However, at an advanced stage of AIDS, manifest symptoms can appear such as significant weight loss, chronic diarrhea, tumors / cancer, pulmonary tuberculosis infections, fungal infections of the digestive tract, and so on.
The diagnosis of HIV / AIDS is through a blood test. So, if you are at risk of contracting HIV, it never hurts to get tested, HIV / AIDS screening. If the results are negative, then the examination can be repeated 3-6 months later to make sure there really is no HIV virus in the body or because of the window of the infection. If you still carry out risky behaviors as above, it is not impossible to get infected with HIV and the results of blood tests will be positive in the future. HIV / AIDS treatment using antiretrovirals will provide life expectancy for sufferers and a better quality of life and the possibility to suppress the amount of virus in the body so it does not transmit it to a partner. Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
