Is There Hope That A Woman With A Bikornis Uterus Can Give Birth To Enough Months?
Is there hope that a woman with a bikornis uterus can give birth to enough months?
Hello Melisa, thanks for the question to HealthReplies.com
The bikornis uterus itself actually has a severity, from mild (or called partial bicornuat) to severe (or called complete bicornuat). Women who have a bikornis uterus have a higher risk of miscarriage, premature labor, and cesarean delivery (SC). The magnitude of this risk varies greatly in various studies, however the opportunity / expectation of being able to get pregnant for months and a normal delivery still remains. Most women with bikornis uterus can still be pregnant for months and still be able to give birth normally. It all depends on the severity of your bikornis uterus and also the location of the attachment of the fetus after conception.
Pregnant women with bikornis uterus are included in risky pregnancies, so you should always control your pregnancy with your obstetrician (not just a midwife).
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
