Is This A Common Cold?

Afternoon dock, I want to ask. I have a cold and a cough but I am not aware of a high fever, but my body is rather warm, and my chest is a bit tight due to a cough. I usually experience this when I am menstruating and currently I am menstruating. But until now for my body temperature can be said to be stable but for the flu and the cough is still there. Please answer doc, is this just a common cold? Thanks.

Hello Sri Pure,
Thank you for the question.
The following are possible causes of flu and cough accompanied by slight tightness:
Common cold.
Influenza.
Sore throat.
Covid-19.
In general, the conditions above are viral infections that can heal on their own, and may not be affected by your menstrual cycle. With this epidemic covid-19, all complaints of colds cough need to be thought of as signs of the disease. But you don't need to worry, and you can check co-19 risk on this page, and the wisest step if you have a cold cough complaint like that is to quarantine yourself for the next 14 days in the house, without physical interaction with people others or at least 1 meter from others.
Visit a doctor or health care facility such as a health center or hospital only if you experience severe symptoms, such as severe shortness of breath that interferes with activity, and high fever (temperature over 38 degrees Celsius) that does not improve within 3-5 days. Apart from these severe symptoms, you can treat it from home and make suggestions such as:
Enough rest.
Take a sore throat medication if there are such complaints, such as paracetamol.
Drink warm water and reduce spicy / sweet / oily food to relieve cough.
Wash your hands regularly with soap and water or sanitizer.
Use a mask.
Take vitamin supplements to maintain immunity, and consume spicy drinks.
Fulfilling nutrition needs and 2-3 liters of water per day.
Manage stress well.
