Is This A Sign Of Typhus?
Hello, from 5 days ago I had fever fluctuating, my head was dizzy, nauseous, vomiting, chills and diarrhea. I checked with the doctor about the wrong meal. nThe next day I had difficulty choking, nausea, vomiting, dizziness and stomach ache. And until now my chapter is not smooth, my stomach still hurts, my stomach feels sick, nausea but doesn’t vomit, dizziness, and weakness, but sometimes it seems like nothing, and a few hours later it hurts me again. Am I typhus?
Good afternoon, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. The conditions you experience can occur due to various possibilities, including:
Typhoid fever / typhus
Meanwhile, typhus / typhus is a disease caused by infection with Salmonella typhii bacteria. The most prominent symptom is usually a fever that fluctuates, with body temperature increasing as the day progresses. That is, the afternoon and evening, the body temperature is getting higher, and in the morning, the temperature drops even though it doesn't reach normal. In addition, it is also found that disorders of the digestive system can be in the form of diarrhea or even difficulty defecating.
In your case, it is true that there is a possibility that you may have typhus, however, investigations are needed to confirm this. Because when you read our reply, your fever has entered the 6th day, you should do a blood test to find out the levels of white blood cells, platelets, and a Widal or TUBEX test to detect the possibility of typhus. If it is negative, your doctor may order other supporting tests to further narrow the possibility. The treatment you will receive later depends on the results of this examination.
Meanwhile, get plenty of rest and drink water, avoid any activity and take permission from your work or school. You can take over-the-counter fever-reducing drugs by reading the instructions for use, but avoid taking antibiotics unless prescribed by a doctor. Get well soon.
That's all, hope it helps.
