Hello Firlia, Thank you for the question.
Have you ever seen a doctor to determine the cause? Does it only complain about the wrist where the lump is or is it also in the finger joint?
Ganglion cysts are benign tumors that appear in the joint area, which forms in the connective tissue that connects the muscles to the bones (tendons). This lump is filled with fluid. Ganglion cysts most commonly occur in the wrist joint. The size of the cyst can increase in size with the amount of joint activity. These cysts generally do not cause pain but, if these cysts press on nerves, complaints of pain can arise, especially when moved. Aside from ganglion cysts, pain in your joints can also be caused by other health conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, tendinitis, and others.
It is recommended that you consult a doctor immediately to determine the cause of your complaint. The doctor needs to ask you about this complaint, examine you, and perform other examinations such as blood tests, X-rays, ultrasound, and others. After knowing the cause, the doctor will provide treatment in accordance with your condition. If you do not get checked, you cannot be sure of the cause and will not receive proper treatment.
For a while, please do a warm compress on the affected area. Avoid using excessive joints especially for repetitive movements. You can take paracetamol if your pain complaint worsens.
I hope this helps.
