Is Tonsil Peeling Off Is Dangerous?
Last night, I was coughing and yesterday vomited a little after that I felt a lump in my throat, I thought it was food that was stuck due to vomiting, but I tried to use a flash and I saw in the left tonsils like there was a small flesh peeling off because there was a little hole visible, why is that? Dangerous?
Hello Shilla, thank you for asking.
Based on your brief explanation, there are various possible causes. One thing that might happen is that you have tonsillitis or what is called tonsillitis. Symptoms include fever (can be mild or severe), cough, sore throat, headache, weakness, no appetite, painful swallowing, or accompanied by enlarged lymph nodes in the neck and jaw. Tonsillitis can be caused by viruses and bacteria. Viruses that cause are generally the same as viruses that cause colds or coughs. Viral infections can usually heal itself in about a week's time. Bacterial tonsillitis is commonly caused by streptococcus.
Tonsillitis will cause enlarged tonsils, redness, and pain. In bacterial infections, in addition to the symptoms above, sometimes on physical examination you will see tons of bumps or bumpy uneven so it may appear as a small basin. This basin can be filled with white matter which is a collection of bacteria, dead cells and immune cells of the body.
Other possibilities that you can experience are pharyngitis, laryngitis, or peritonsillary abscess. You should consult with your doctor directly so that the doctor can examine directly and determine the right diagnosis. Therapy of course depends on the results of the doctor's examination. You can try to multiply the consumption of warm water, choose foods that are somewhat soft so as not to hurt the tonsils, avoid soda, caffeine, and alcohol, avoid foods that are too sweet, too spicy, or too acidic. If after a few days there is no improvement, call a doctor. Thus a brief explanation from us, hopefully you will be helped. Regards.
