Itching Accompanied By Red Rashes Protruding All Over The Body?
Morning … I want to ask … some days I have experienced itching on my skin, sn red swelling arises like being bitten by “ants” or lice, especially on the wrists, legs, neck, and even have started to spread to my face. The swelling lasts for about 30 minutes, continues to disappear. But a few hours later it appeared again … Actually it was allergic or bitten by fleas?
Good evening, thanks for the question
Local swelling / bumps that arise suddenly and disappear slowly, are pale and reddish in color, and rise on the surface of the skin are called urticaria. Urticaria or biduran is an acute reaction of blood vessels in the skin due to various causes.
Complaints include itching, accompanied by swelling / bumps on the face, hands, feet, and even almost all over the body.
Risk factors for urticaria:
1. History of atopy (allergy) in self and family
2. History of physical trauma
3. History of insect bites
4. Consumption of medicines
5. Consumption of food (eggs, shrimp, fish, beans, etc.)
6. History of infection
7. History of physical factors trauma (heat, cold, sunlight, UV light, radiation)
Generally complaints are mild and disappear spontaneously despite the risk of recurrence. Treatment with anti-histamine drugs and is recommended to avoid the causes of the above.
Make further consultations with your doctor so that you can do a physical examination and get the right treatment. Beware if you experience complaints of severe shortness of breath, vomiting, or swelling throughout the body immediately ask for help to the emergency department because it is feared that a severe allergic reaction (angioedema) occurs.
That's all, hope you can help
