Itching Appears On The Palms After Typhus Treatment?
Greetings, I am 25 years old and have typhus but have treated my doctor and have recovered completely. but the 3rd day my palms began to itch and now even though typhus disease is no longer felt. Is this rash due to this typhus? What should I do? My parents suggested drinking coconut water and how long until the rash disappeared? thanks.
Good evening Dimas, thanks for asking.
Seeing your complaints, the itching you feel can be caused by several things such as:
Local irritation on the hands Allergies Complications of inflammation of the gallbladder due to typhus and several other conditions To find out the causes further, it is advisable to see a doctor, it is also necessary to visit a dermatologist. At your doctor you will probably do some tests such as blood tests and allergy tests if needed. For self-treatment, try not to scratch the itchy area too much, because it can cause sores on the skin, if it is very disturbing, you can use calamin lotion to help reduce the itching.
The duration of the itching loss depends on the main cause, if the main cause has been found and treated appropriately, usually the itching will gradually disappear. However, for the effect of drinking coconut water by relieving itching, there has been no research to discuss, so I can not be sure whether it is right or not, as long as it does not cause disturbing side effects, usually not a problem.
Hope this helps.
