Itching On The Body After Bathing?
Good afternoon, I do not know the cause of itching on my body after bathing. Most likely because it does not match with PDAM water. I have used asepso soap, but it still feels itchy after bathing. The itching only lasts 5-10 minutes after bathing, after that it doesn’t feel itchy anymore. Every day I have to withstand a rather annoying itching. What should I use soap / medicine for to relieve itching on the body? thank you
Hello Amirr, Thank you for the question.
Does this complaint only occur after bathing? Have you ever tried bathing in another place with a different water source? If this complaint does not occur elsewhere with a different source of water. maybe the cause is exposure to water in your home. However, if this complaint still occurs even though you have changed the source of water, then this complaint can be caused by other causes such as irritation using soap or other skin products, dry skin, eczema, ringworm, scabies, and others.
If indeed you suspect the water in your home is the cause, all you have to do is of course avoid exposure to water. You can try to buy refill water and use it for bathing to make it clear or try bathing somewhere else. Avoiding the thing that triggers this complaint is the most important handling step you must take. To deal with itching, you can use salicyl powder or calamine lotion. You can also choose soft soaps that do not foam and do not contain fragrance. Maintain skin moisture by using oil-based lotion.
Do not hesitate to consult a doctor if complaints of itching still occur, not only after you take a shower, or appear a red rash on the skin that does not go away. Your doctor needs to examine you to find out the cause and determine further treatment.
I hope this helps.
