Itching Skin On The Arms To The Thighs And Feet?
Good afternoon. I am an unmarried woman, 28 years old, almost 1 month recently I have had itching on the skin from the arms to the hands, and also from the thighs to the legs. Even though there are no bumps or insect bites on the skin. It started out like goosebumps because my pores seemed to get bigger and then started to feel itchy. This itchiness went away a few hours and then appeared again. As a result, my skin feels tough and not smooth anymore. Before, I never had a history of air or food allergies. So I’m confused with this condition. Please explain, and how to treat it. thanks.
Thank you for the question.
Itching is a sensation on the skin that causes the urge to scratch. The causes are various:
Xerosis or dry skin. With increasing age, the function of the oil glands to moisturize the skin decreases. Most occur in old age and can affect both men and women. Atopic Dematitis. Allergy to cold, dust, animal dander, and other allergens so the skin responds with itching all over the body. Scabies or mite infection. People with scabies will experience itching, especially at night. Symptoms appear to be insect bites between the fingers, the skin below the center, and in the pubic area. Lichen Simplex Chronicus. Symptoms include thick and scaly patches from too frequent scratching. Psoriasis. Characterized by layered scales that are silvery in color. The suggestions that I can give:
Use lotion to moisturize Take a shower not too long Take a shower with cold water instead of hot water Using a soap that moisturizes the skin Consume more water Using sunscreen That's my explanation, hope it helps.
