Itchy Feet Due To Exposure To Beach Sand?
Good night, I just want to ask for my feet itching because of being hit by sand beach until like water lice, it’s been a month and yesterday has been to the doctor there has been no results and for itching always recurred at night, please info for what should I do next?
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Basically, beach sand does not contain allergens or certain proteins that can cause itching on the feet. Beach sand is also not an organism that can cause infection and itching of the feet. Itching on your feet now can be caused by many possibilities, for example:
fungal infections of the feet (tinea pedis)
parasitic infections such as scabies or scabies, cutaneous larva migrans
If you have already gone to the doctor for treatment and there has been no improvement in symptoms, then you are expected to take control to the doctor again for further examination and treatment. If indeed you went to a general practitioner, try asking for a referral to go to a dermatologist for further examination of your skin. The exact cause of itching on your feet must be known beforehand can be known the most appropriate treatment for you.
For now, try not to scratch your feet even though it feels very itchy. Try to compress the itchy area with a cold compress to help reduce the itching, and cut your nails short so as not to hurt your skin if you accidentally scratch at night. Try to pay attention to people who live with you or sleep in one room with you. If people in your home also experience itching similar to yours, immediately do a doctor's examination together (with all the people in your house) so that all can be treated and do not occur until the contagious disease re-spread.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
