Hello, I want to ask, eg skin rashes due to cat virus. I believe I have the cat virus because I have 4 tail cats. There are several areas on my body that are affected by the virus, there are those that quickly disappear and at the same time disappear and the scars, and there are those that have not recovered until now. There are 2 points that don’t heal Sometimes it hurts sometimes not. What kind of obt should I buy? Is there any oral medication or just topical medication? And how do you get rid of the marks that are still not gone? Thank you

Hi Tiffany,

Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.

Close contact with cats can indeed cause itching. This itching is not always caused by a virus. More often, itching on the skin occurs due to allergies (for example to cat hair), flea bites (which usually stick to cat fur), cat scratches, or also infection due to other microorganisms that are on the cat's body. For this reason, it is very important to keep pets (including cats) so that they are always maintained clean and also avoid various risks of disease, for example by vaccinating them completely.

Apart from contact with cats, it can also be itching you experience due to other factors, for example allergies due to other triggers (eg cold, seafood, eggs, pollen), other infections (eg prickly heat, fungus, scabies), contact dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, neurodermatitis, and so on.

Overcoming itching, ideally done after the cause of itching is determined. Therefore, you should not jump to the conclusion that the itching occurs as a result of a cat-borne viral infection. Check your condition first to a doctor or dermatologist so that the doctor can do a comprehensive examination to find out what triggers your itching.

In the meantime, you can do the following:

Do not scratch excessively itchy skin
Wash your hands and cut your nails diligently
Also get in the habit of washing your hands and changing clothes after coming into contact with cats
Give itchy skin salicyl powder or calamine lotion
Use clothes that are cool, not tight
Shower diligently
Avoid contact with substances you are allergic to
Take good care of the cat, bathe it regularly and give a complete vaccine to the vet

Hope it helps ..
