My name is dede satria, age 17. I want to ask if I have a mental disorder, because I seem to have no compassion or pity for others, and really want to hurt someone who is near me. And I am very happy to see people grieving, miserable, or dead. Am I crazy?

Hello Ismail Bin Mail,

In the medical world there is the term personality disorder that is included in mental illness (mental illness). Personality disorder is a condition that causes sufferers to have unhealthy and abnormal patterns of thought and behavior. Personality disorders also make it difficult for sufferers to feel, understand, or interact with others. Personality disorders can cause difficulties in work, school, or other social activities.

Some personality disorders that have complaints such as those described include:

Borderline personality disorder. People with borderline personality disorder usually have unstable emotions and have the urge to hurt themselves, for example using drugs, having free sex. People with this disorder also find it difficult to interact with others. Sufferers feel excessive fear of being left behind or ignored, making it difficult to maintain a stable relationship. They feel that they are not considered in the family or in the community. Sufferers can suddenly get angry intensely and engage in physical squabbling.

Antisocial personality disorder. People who suffer from this condition often ignore applicable social norms, violate laws and rules, and tend to have no sympathy for others. Sufferers tend to blame others for problems that occur in their lives. They like to intimidate others and do not regret their actions. They are also unable to control anger and maintain relationships. This disorder is often known as lay psychopaths or sociopaths.

To find out if you suffer from a mental disorder / mental illness, a thorough examination and a full history (interview) are needed about the history of the complaint you are experiencing. The examination is best done with a mental health specialist. Therapy in the form of drugs combined with psychotherapy can help sufferers to be able to move normally. Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
