Because my husband and I agreed not ready to have LG in the near distance. and whether fertilization will still occur? Thank you please explain.
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Basically a copper-T type IUD can be used as an emergency contraceptive as well. This Copper-T IUD is an emergency contraception that has the highest effectiveness compared to other types of emergency contraception in preventing pregnancy after unprotected sexual intercourse, and can be used for up to 5 days after intercourse.
Besides having a function as an emergency contraception, copper-T IUDs can also be used as permanent contraception for 10 years. Therefore, if you already have the intention to install an IUD, immediately go to the midwife or obstetrician to do the installation of an IUD, make sure you ask for a copper-T type IUD (or copper-coated spiral KB) and not an IUD with hormones because IUDs with hormones cannot be used as emergency contraception.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
