IUD Thread Is Felt When Urinating After 1 Month Of Delivery?
During the afternoon. I want to ask about an IUD problem. I just gave birth on January 8, 2020 through SC. And I don’t have 1 month IUD in the vagina feels uncomfortable. When I was BAK, it felt like there was a thread. Do you want to let go then what do you do? Still safe?
Hello Arsya, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Normally, the IUD thread is left slightly out of the vagina as a marker and also to facilitate the removal process when the IUD is required to be replaced on time.
However, if the thread is felt to be long enough even to actually terrace out at the end of the outer hole of the vagina, then there is a possibility that the IUD is loose and it is advisable to consult your obstetrician again because the repair of the loose IUD must be done by a doctor and for some consideration of your current condition. If properly released, the IUD that is not in a position that should generally not be harmful to the body, but becomes unable to function as it should.
Meanwhile, in addition to immediately checking your complaint to the obstetrician to evaluate the location of the IUD again, it is not advisable to try to insert, revoke, justify or change the position of the IUD itself because it can cause injury or other side effects. Although the terrace is a bit uncomfortable, you can still do your normal activities and it is strongly recommended to continue to maintain the cleanliness of your pubic area properly. Avoid sexual intercourse while acting until there is further advice from your doctor.
I hope this helps.
