, 2 months ago I just gave birth normally and for the past 2 weeks every time I wake up or sit for too long my body becomes achy and the joints in each joint of my fingers and toes hurt, what do you think is the cause?

1 Answer:

Dear Nurul,

Pain in the joints can actually occur due to many things, not limited to postpartum conditions. Post-delivery, painful conditions can arise due to the prolonged delivery position, causing muscle pain and stiffness in the joints. In addition, hormonal changes also more or less affect the pain in the joints. However, outside of the birthing process itself there are conditions that can occur which manifest in the form of joint pain such as:

Rheumatoid arthritis is joint inflammation caused by an autoimmune process
lupus arthritis, which is also an autoimmune disease, which can manifest in many systems, including the joints
joint pain due to viral or bacterial infection
calcification of the joints and bones, although it is quite rare

This joint pain may be temporarily reduced by over-the-counter pain relievers such as paracetamol according to the instructions for use. However, if pain often occurs, then don't hesitate to see a doctor to further evaluate the cause of the pain you are experiencing. Here we attach an article about joint pain. May be useful.
