KB Implants Are Itchy?
just yesterday my wife installed kb implants / kb implants, but why does the kb area feel itchy, my wife said?
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Implantable contraception is a type of hormonal contraception that contains synthetic progesterone hormone. This birth control prevents the fertilization of eggs by sperm cells by thickening cervical mucus, thinning the lining of the uterine wall, and preventing ovulation. With proper use, implant birth control is very effective at preventing pregnancy, even up to 99%.
If prior to implant birth control your wife has seen a doctor and was declared the right candidate to use this birth control, then the possibility of dangerous side effects can actually be minimized. As for the itching that appears around the implant site, it is generally a natural thing to occur as an inflammatory effect due to the placement of a foreign object under the skin. These complaints will generally subside within 1 to 3 days after implant placement.
If it is only the itching that your wife is experiencing, then she can reduce it by using a cold compress on the former implant site. The cold sensation can be effective in reducing itching on the skin. Also wear clothes that are comfortable, not too tight, and also not made from hot. Always maintain personal hygiene, namely by bathing regularly, using clean towels and clothes, and do not exchange personal items with other people. Avoid rubbing or sprinkling anything on the implant site if it is not recommended directly by the doctor.
However, if the itching is very intense for more than 3 days, or other complaints arise, such as swelling, redness, watery rashes, pus, or other complaints, you should check your wife immediately with a doctor. In addition to the possibility of allergies to implant FP components. it may also be itching like this that occurs due to other causes, for example insect bites, contact dermatitis, skin infections, and so on.
Hope it helps ..
