Kikuchi Necrotizing Lymphadenitis Pain?

at night, I want to ask if the pain of kikuchi necrotizing lymphadenitis can be completely cured? Then I was given a prescription for taking prednisone with a 4 in the morning, 4 afternoon and 2 night regimen, I forgot to take the prednisone 2 nights. Do I have to repeat drinking again? Or how? And can this pain be completely cured or not?

Hi Seila, thanks for asking on HealthReplies.com.
Kikuchi disease is a condition of lymphadenitis (inflammation of the lymph nodes) whose cause is often unknown with symptoms such as headache, swollen lymph nodes in the neck or other body parts, nausea, joint pain, and night sweats. Several theories state that the cause is an impaired reaction of the immune system reaction and the presence of a viral infection. The treatment given is the administration of anti-inflammatory drugs such as corticosteroids, or the administration of immunoglobulins if they are resistant to steroids.
This disease can generally heal though within a few months. About 3% of patients who develop this disease experience a relapse. There are also sources that mention that Kikuchi's disease patients had the condition or further organ damage.
To determine whether you need to repeat or continue the treatment depends on a direct clinical evaluation by the treating doctor. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you consult directly with the doctor who treats you. What you can do in the meantime is to get enough rest at least 8 hours of sleep a night, manage stress, drink 2 liters of water per day, and eat nutritious food to keep your body in optimal condition. Hope it is useful. Thanks.
