Kinds Of Causes Of Cough In 4 Months Baby?
My son’s night 4 months. Cough but don’t know it’s really a cough or just kselek if you scream like a cough.
Good morning, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. Coughing is basically the body's natural response to the lower respiratory tract to clear the respiratory tract from external disturbances, it can be in the form of small foreign objects, dust, and mucus that comes from irritation to bacterial infections or cigarette smoke. In the nose, a similar mechanism is sneezing and nasal mucus. In the digestive tract, the natural response is vomiting.
So regarding your question, there is actually no term cough which is really cough and cough that is just choking, because coughing is only a symptom and will continue as long as external interference to the respiratory tract exists. The difference is from the cause. Maybe when a person coughs because of choking on water, for example, he only coughs once and the disturbance goes away, the water that enters the respiratory tract returns to the mouth or goes straight into the digestive tract. Meanwhile, when a person coughs because of a bacterial infection, he will cough many times because the bacteria that created the mucus are still there and still continue to disturb the respiratory tract.
So regarding your child's condition, the easiest and simplest way to find out the cause of your child's cough is to look at his condition. If only occasionally, he might just choke. If it's frequent and accompanied by fever, there may be an ongoing infection. What is clear, be aware if the cough is accompanied by an increased respiratory rate, your baby looks weak, has a high fever and so on. Don't hesitate to take your child to the nearest hospital emergency room or pediatrician if this happens. So, hopefully it answers your question.
