Knowing The Fertile Period For Pregnancy Programs When Irregular Menstruation?
Assallamuallaikum HealthReplies.com. My doctor wants to ask, my period is coming from the beginning of menstruation, it can’t be smooth, it can be 2-3 months, sometimes more. I want to get pregnant soon, how do I know the fertile period for someone whose menstruation is irregular / abnormal? Thank you HealthReplies.com, Wassalam.
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Normally the distance between the menstrual cycles ranges from 21-35 days, meaning that a woman should have the next menstruation in the 21-35 day range. Women who menstruate irregularly but the distance is still within that range are likely to still be considered normal. But if you get your period only every 2-3 months, then the condition is not normal. You should check with your obstetrician first before planning a pregnancy.
Basically the calculation of the fertile period using a calendar can only be done on women whose menstrual cycles are relatively regular. If menstruation is not ordered, this calculation will not be accurate results. To be able to find out the fertile period in women whose menstruation is irregular, a fertility check or ovulation test is needed. Ovulation tests can detect an increase in certain hormones that occur before ovulation. If this ovulation test gives positive results, it means you are in your fertile period. Having sex during the fertile period will increase the chances of pregnancy.
Actually there are other ways to determine a woman's fertile period, but using an ovulation test tool is the most effective way to do especially in women whose irregular menstrual cycles.
