Lab Examination Results Of Urea, Creatinine, Uric Acid?
I want to ask, I have had 4 days of pain in the left side of my stomach. I also did a blood check this afternoon and the results were urea 26, creatinine 0.7 and uric acid 3.6. Are the results still reasonable or should you check with a special internist? R nThank you.
Hello Putri, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
Standard normal values in each laboratory can vary depending on the tools and reagents used in the examination, but in general, normal urea values are around 10-30 mg / dl, normal creatinine values are around 0.7-1.2 mg / dl, and acid values Normal urate is 2.4-6 mg / dl in women and 3.4-7 mg / dl in men.
Seeing your laboratory results, all of these values are still considered normal, so it is likely that you have no kidney or uric acid problems.
Pain in the left stomach can be caused by a variety of possibilities, including:
Gastrointestinal disorders such as constipation, intestinal obstruction, intestinal inflammation or intestinal infection. Disorders of the urinary tract, such as stones in the urinary tract or infection in the urinary tract. Disorders of the reproductive tract such as pelvic inflammatory disease, menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea), ovulation pain, pregnancy or pregnancy complications, torsion cysts or ovarian cyst ruptures, and so on.
To ascertain the cause of your abdominal pain, you need more complete information about the other symptoms that you experience that accompany the abdominal pain, therefore it is best for you to see a doctor. You can go to a general practitioner first or to an internal medicine doctor. The doctor will also perform a physical examination and ask for other supporting examinations such as blood tests, urine tests, abdominal ultrasound, or abdominal CT scans if necessary.
For now, you can try to compress the sore stomach with a warm compress (hot pillow or with a warm water bottle). Drink enough fluids, at least 2-3 liters every day, and make sure you always eat foods that are nutritious and contain high fiber (such as vegetables and fruit). Get enough rest and sleep, especially when you are experiencing abdominal pain, avoid smoking and drinking alcohol. If the pain is bothersome, you can try taking pain medication such as paracetamol to help reduce pain.
That's all from me, hopefully it helps answer your question.
