Labia Minora Enlarged After Sex?
Good night, I want to ask after I have sex with my labia minora, but until now it hasn’t been shrunk as before, is it dangerous or not?
Hello Soetresno Bachier,
Swelling of the vaginal labia minora after sexual intercourse can be caused by trauma caused during intercourse. Friction trauma is magnified when having rough sex without sufficient lubricant. Swelling can be followed by a change in the color of the labia minora to become redder, pain to the touch, pain when urinating, or discharge.
Swelling of the labia minora can also be caused by other causes, namely:
Allergies to soap products used to wash genitals, allergies to sanitary pads / pantyliners, allergies to condom ingredients, and so on.
Irritation of underwear material, deodorizer used for washing, irritation when using rough tissues, due to friction with rough underwear or rough seams
Sexually transmitted disease
Diagnosing the cause of the swelling in the labia minora requires a direct physical examination and a history of complaints and previous illnesses. Treatment usually varies including administering drugs such as antibiotics, antifungals, drugs to reduce pain or itching suffered by the patient.
This condition is dangerous or not depends on the abnormalities that cause it. If a sexually transmitted disease is found, it can be transmitted to a partner. If venereal disease is not treated adequately, it can cause other complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease or urinary tract infections. Try not to have sex for a few days. Avoid using underpants that are too tight. Rinse / wipe properly and dry with a soft tissue each time BAK. Do not apply drugs carelessly on the swollen vagina. Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
