Hello, thank you for your question.
Menstruation is the event when the lining of the uterus is rich in blood vessels. Menstruation is a natural female cycle which generally occurs every 28-36 days and lasts 3-7 days. Every woman has a different cycle, the duration and menstrual periods can be longer or shorter.
Minimal bleeding or spots that occur between menstrual periods are called spotting. Spotting can be caused by various things, including:
Hormonal imbalance. Pregnancy. Ovulation period. Nutritional influences. Stress. Fatigue. Entering the menopause phase. Effect of contraceptive methods. Minor injury to the vaginal wall, for example after sexual intercourse. Chronic diseases such as thyroid hormone disorders. Diseases of the reproductive organs such as uterine fibroids, ectopic pregnancy, cervical polyps, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Of course, to know for sure the cause of the complaint you are experiencing requires a direct examination by a doctor. As for the supporting examinations that may be needed, for example blood tests, urine tests, abdominal ultrasound, or other supporting examinations as indicated. To temporarily help reduce symptoms, you can maintain a healthy lifestyle with a complete nutritious diet, regular exercise, manage stress properly and get adequate rest.
