Good morning, I have a late menstruation, the last mens period was 20-27 nov 2019 while I have been in men since grade 3 junior high school, now I have graduated from college, I asked what was normal? I have had swelling and pain in a week, but I haven’t had menstruation.
Hello, thank you for asking with HealthReplies.com.
Menstruation in women generally lasts for 2-7 days and menstrual cycles last for 21-35 days (on average for 28 days). Menstrual cycle is the time span from the first day of menstruation to the first day of menstruation in the following month. Calculated from the beginning of your menstruation last November until now, then your menstrual cycle lengthens.
An extended menstrual cycle can be caused by:
- Obesity or excess weight
- Hormonal imbalance
- Over stress
- Excessive physical activity / strenuous exercise
Polycystic Ovarian Disorders (PCOS)
- Thyroid disorders
- and others.
Therefore, you should do a doctor's examination to find out the cause of the complaint you are experiencing. The doctor will conduct an interview and some further examinations. Here's what you can do at home to help deal with complaints: do a healthy lifestyle such as regular exercise, increase fruit and vegetable consumption, manage stress well, get enough rest, consume enough water, avoid smoking, avoid alcoholic beverages, avoid consuming soda .
