Left Chest Aches And Shortness Of Breath
Some time ago my left chest felt painful but I didn’t go to the doctor because the next day it was gone. But right now, I often have shortness of breath, but only at certain times. As after eating more often ny. May I know why? Thank you
Thank you for the question.
Shortness of breath can be caused by many things and is basically divided by several types of shortness disorder, namely:
Lung disorders, such as asthma, COPD. Heart disorders, such as pulmonary hypertension, heart attacks, or heart failure. Indigestion (which is usually influenced by diet), such as gastric acid, dyspepsia syndrome, or stomach ulcers. Metabolic disorders, such as diabetes complications. If shortness of breath is influenced by eating patterns, then most likely shortness of breath comes from digestive disorders. Therefore, here are suggestions that you can take to reduce tightness:
Eat small but frequent portions, and eat slowly. Reducing foods that contain lots of gas, acid, spicy, oils like fried foods and coconut milk, contain soda, and caffeine such as coffee, tea, chocolate. Avoid lying down after eating, at least wait for 1-2 hours first. Adequate nutritional and fluid needs of at least 2-3 liters per day. Regular exercise and sleep 7-9 hours per day. Do not smoke. Manage stress well. Contact your doctor if there is no improvement in shortness of breath, there is overall chest pain such as being crushed, chest pain that radiates to the arm or back, chest pain accompanied by vomiting and cold sweat.
Hopefully this information can help and hopefully get well soon.
