Hello Nimatha Dhita,
Wounds on the cornea (the clear layer in the middle of the eye in front of the colored iris) can cause scarring / matrix. The cornea is one of the refractive media, which is the part of the eye that plays a role in the process of seeing, to carry light into the back layer of the eyeball. The cornea is transparent and does not contain blood vessels so as not to block light from entering.
Like a wound on the skin, can cause scars. Wounds on the cornea if deep enough can cause scars that will usually appear as white patches that can be seen in plain view or use examination aids. If the corneal brush is right in front of the pupil (a small black round section in the middle that can be enlarged to reduce the intensity of incoming light), then the patient can complain of blurred vision. Existing wounds sometimes also cause a sense of prop, foreign sensation, a sense of glare. An examination with an eye specialist needs to be done to determine the white part is only a scar or there is an active infection.
Handling of corneal scars is done by keratoplasty (replacing corneas with donor corneas / corneal transplants). If it does not cover the line of vision directly, patients are usually given drops to reduce complaints. Patients may also be examined for refraction / correction of glasses if there is indeed an eye disorder that sees far / near. Another examination to the back of the eyeball is also needed, to ensure that your complaint is not caused by abnormalities in the back of the eye. Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
