Hello, I want to ask. I have been holding out intestinal irritation for 6 months without surgery or medication. But this week, my right abdomen sometimes aches, and my left stomach hurts and my stomach is very painful. Has my appendix broken? Thanks

Hello. Good night. Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com

Appendectomy is inflammation that occurs in the appendix which is an organ of 5 to 10 cm long that is associated with the large intestine. Symptoms begin with pain around the navel associated with the nervous system that belongs to the appendix organ so that the pain is located at an early stage around the navel and then moves to the lower right abdomen. The pain in the appendix will usually be heavy by adding pressure to the abdominal area such as being pressed from the outside, coughing, or straining. Other symptoms such as mild fever, nausea or vomiting, and decreased appetite.

To attach it, an examination is usually done by a doctor, especially a surgeon and can actually be enforced clinically, but in some conditions the investigation can help especially to get rid of other diagnoses, namely

Blood test, to check the number of white blood cells that indicate an infection.

Urine test, to clear the possibility of urinary tract infection or kidney stones.

CT scan or ultrasound, to ensure pain in the stomach due to appendicitis.

Pelvic examination, to make sure it's not a reproductive problem or other pelvic infection.

Pregnancy tests, to ensure they are not caused by an ectopic pregnancy.

Chest X-ray, to ensure the pain is not caused by right pneumonia, the symptoms are similar to appendicitis.

If the intestine has been diagnosed but no further treatment can be made, it can cause severe and dangerous conditions

- The sac becomes filled with pus (abscess). The symptom that is felt is that the pain is getting heavier and is usually palpable in the right abdomen
- Rupture of the appendix causing infection of the stomach lining (peritonitis) with symptoms that are usually felt is pain in the entire stomach which is very severe and hard palpable stomach.

If you experience the above you should immediately go to the hospital emergency room to get further treatment as soon as possible.

So that we can say hopefully useful thanks
