Left Stomach Pain Like Being Stabbed?

Hi,

Abdominal pain has many possible causes, also possible causes can also be estimated from the location of the pain. Left abdominal pain can be caused by:

gastritis / ulcer
acid reflux disease / GERD
premenstrual syndrome
constipation
kidney stones
cyst

Most often caused by increased stomach acid which is influenced by factors such as:

late meal
eat too spicy
eat too sour
consumption of coffee, soda, alcohol
stress

Some initial treatments:

don't eat late
avoid eating too spicy and sour
get enough rest
avoid eating fatty foods
drink enough water, at least 2 liters per day
avoid excessive stress
taking stomach acid-lowering drugs such as antacids
read things related to left stomach pain
