Hello Doctor, good evening … I want to ask. R n About 7 years ago I fell from a motorcycle which resulted in a dislocation of my left wrist. At first I just let it go, but over time the muscles in my arms seemed strange sometimes tingling and then lifting weights was like losing energy, especially when doing pull ups, my arms were dislocated like loss of power. R nI asked the doctor, can my arm still be normal dislocations returned after 7 years. r nThank you Doctor.

Hello Hendra, Thank you for the question.

Did you see a doctor when you suffered an injury 7 years ago? Has it been confirmed by a doctor's examination that you have a dislocation and not a fracture or muscle injury? Dislocation is one of the emergency conditions that must be treated immediately. Dislocations can cause intense pain, impaired joint movement, joint deformity, tingling, numbness, and limbs that appear pale due to disruption of blood flow. Therefore, this condition is a condition that requires immediate medical attention. If you haven't had any disturbing complaints in the past 7 years, it could be a fracture or muscle / tendon injury. Anyone with a fracture should consult an orthopedic specialist immediately. Severe fractures must be treated with the act of returning the fracture to its original position and placing a pen to keep the fracture in its original position so that bone healing can take place properly. The position of the bones as usual is necessary so that the wrist joint can return to normal function. If the condition is caused by a fracture and is not treated properly, the bone healing is not working well, the bones may fuse but are not in their original position (malunion), or the bones may not join together (non-union). Both of these conditions cause the function of the patient's limbs to be impaired.

My advice is that you should consult an orthopedic specialist. Your doctor will examine you and perform an X-ray, ultrasound, or MRI of your wrist to understand your condition. After knowing the cause, the doctor will suggest further treatment.
