Leg Skin Is Swollen, Peeling And Red Spots Appear?
I want to ask, my uncle is working in a motorcycle wash for 3 days, the 4th night his legs are swollen, it hurts excruciatingly, I keep peeling and red, so the spots around the back of the foot and the soles of the feet, if I think it is water fleas but it doesn’t itch, is it yes this is the disease?
Hello Vj Hariyadi, thank you for the question.
Abnormalities in the skin should be consulted directly on the doctor, because the doctor must see firsthand just to be able to think of possible diagnoses. Some conditions that may cause symptoms experienced by your uncle, namely:
Fungal infections that have a double infection from bacteria.
Irritant dermatitis or contact dermatitis due to exposure to a type of material. Is your uncle exposed to a chemical at work? Have these symptoms never appeared before? How long has your uncle worked like that? This is important to know because your uncle could have been exposed to an ingredient that irritates his skin. It is also possible if your uncle wears work shoes from latex, then there is an allergy to latex.
Psoriasis. An autoimmunity disease that causes skin cell turnover to take place faster than normal so that the skin looks piling up and peeling, and redness, sometimes accompanied by pain or itching.
Cellulitis. A condition of soft tissue infection under the skin by staphylococcal or streptococcal bacteria. This disorder is in the form of swollen, red, painful, tender skin, and can spread rapidly.
You should immediately bring your uncle to a dermatologist for consultation to get certainty of diagnosis and therapy. Now all you can do is keep the wound clean by washing the wound area with warm boiled water, at least twice a day. Apply antiseptic solution. Wrap the wound with clean gauze to avoid exposure to dust and dirt. You can use painkillers labeled green to help deal with pain.
Hope this answer helps you. Regards.
