last month my brother ran out of arthroscopy surgery for a torn meniscus … until now the legs have not been able to bend? is that reasonable? how so that the feet can be activity as usual again?

1 Answer:

Good evening, thanks for the question
In post-arthroscopic cases due to meniscus tears, tissue recovery time depends on the severity of the injury. Generally it takes about 3 months to fully recover after surgery. During the recovery period the patient may experience mild symptoms as long as it is not an indication of severe complications. Beware if there are complaints of fever, fluid production from scars, swelling, or smelling pus from the scars. The condition must be immediately consulted by a doctor.
To increase the range of motion post musculoskeletal surgery can be advised to do physiotherapy. Proper physiotherapy can greatly help to speed up the healing process, increase joint space, and regain the motor power of the knee and thigh muscles. We recommend that you do further consultation for the physiotherapy plan going forward. According to the patient's condition.
That's all, hope you can help
Wassalam.
