Leucorrhoea Accompanied By Blood?
Hello. I want to ask. My vaginal discharge is sometimes accompanied by red blood, and it’s been almost a week and it’s still like that. Is that dangerous or what? Please the solution🙏🏻
Hello. Thank you for the question submitted to HealthReplies.com. We can understand the concern you feel.
How old are you? Do you have a history of having had sexual relations before?
Leucorrhoea from female organs can be caused by normal / physiological conditions or abnormal / pathological causes. Physiological causes of vaginal discharge can be in the form of hormonal changes, for example: during menstruation, pregnancy, use of contraception, and stress. Meanwhile, the pathological causes of leucorrhoea consist of a number of possible illnesses, which are most common including:
Bacterial vaginosis (caused by abnormal flora balance in the vagina, symptoms: vaginal body discharge, grayish white color, many, liquid, fishy odor)
Vulvovaginal candidosis (caused by overgrowth of the fungus Candida albicans in the vagina, symptoms: vaginal body discharge, milky white color, lumpy, itchy, redness around the vagina, and pain when urinating or having sex)
Trichomoniasis (caused by a parasitic infection of Trichomonas vaginalis, symptoms: vaginal body discharge, yellowish white, foamy, itchy, and painful when urinating)
The possibility of blood accompanying vaginal discharge requires special attention, so you are advised to check directly with a doctor or specialist skin and genitals so that they can be evaluated and treated appropriately. If there are indications, the doctor may plan a supporting examination, for example: examination of vaginal discharge with the aid of a microscope. Your doctor may prescribe oral medicines or medications that are put into the vagina to treat the disease.
To help reduce complaints, you can take the following steps:
Wear underwear with good absorption, for example: made from cotton
Exchange underwear regularly, especially if it's damp
Avoid using clothes that are too tight
Regularly take a bath twice a day
Wash your clothes regularly
