1 Answer:

Good evening Cloudy99, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.

Leucorrhoea is a condition when mucus comes out of the vagina. Leucorrhoea itself can be divided into 2 groups, namely vaginal discharge which is still normal and vaginal discharge that is not normal.

Normal vaginal discharge generally has the characteristics of a liquid that comes out colorless (clear) or white, odorless, causing yellowish spots on the underwear and the texture changes depending on the menstrual cycle. This vaginal discharge generally occurs at certain times when vaginal fluid is produced more, such as during menstruation, sexual stimulation, stress or breastfeeding.

While the vaginal discharge is not normal, generally has the characteristics of a liquid that comes out has an unusual color (ash or yellowish green color), the amount is more than normal, and is accompanied by other complaints such as itching, smelling, or feeling hot in the vagina. This condition is often caused by an infection (bacterial / fungal / parasitic), but can also be caused by other conditions such as cervical cancer or uterine cancer.

Therefore, to ascertain whether the vaginal discharge condition that you are experiencing is a normal condition or not, it is highly recommended that you check with your obstetrician directly. Your doctor may take a small sample of your vaginal fluid to determine the cause, and after it is confirmed then what treatment should be determined for your condition.

In the meantime, there are a number of things that you are advised to do:

Keep your vagina dry, especially after urinating and defecating
Avoid using tight trousers or pants
If using pads or pantyliners, replace every 3-4 hours or faster if it is uncomfortable
If you want to use vaginal cleaning fluid, use fragrance-free or other chemicals that can irritate the vagina
If you want to have sex, use a condom for a while until stated by your doctor
If not using a condom, keep your vagina clean before and after intercourse by cleaning it with clean water
Do not use any medicines (whether taken or taken directly into the vagina) without any clear advice from your doctor

I hope this helps.
