Leucorrhoea During Young Pregnancy?
at noon. My mother is only 15 weeks pregnant and likes to have vaginal discharge. Why is that? Please answer, thank you
Hello Mr. Nita,
Leucorrhoea is a form of discharge from the vagina which can be normal or abnormal. Leucorrhoea during pregnancy is generally normal due to increased levels of the hormone estrogen. However, it must be noted that vaginal discharge is considered normal if it is clear, whitish in color, does not smell, and does not cause other complaints such as itching, burning when urinating or during intercourse, and feeling hot. Beware if vaginal discharge changes color to gray/greenish yellow/accompanied by blood, accompanied by an unpleasant odor and accompanied by symptoms of itching/burning/discomfort in the genitals. Such conditions should be suspected as vaginal discharge and abnormal and can reflect the presence of an infection in the genital organs. If you encounter such conditions, it is important for you to see a doctor immediately.
Here are tips for you:
use underwear that is cool and not too tight after bathing or urinating, clean the genital area and anal-buttocks dry, avoid using genital cleaning products too often because they disrupt the balance of the normal flora in the vagina, making it easier for infection to enter from the genitals to the rectum , not the other way around.
