good afternoon, i am a 24 year old woman, single and have never had free sex. I have been experiencing brown discharge for two days. two days before I felt sore in my miss v area as if something was possessed. one day later I experienced brown vaginal discharge and the next day vaginal discharge mixed with blood accompanied by a tickling sensation in the lower left abdomen. Is this normal?

1 Answer:

Hello, Thank you for the question.

Every woman can experience normal vaginal discharge because the vagina produces mucus that works to cleanse the vagina and prevent infection. This normal vaginal discharge has the characteristics of clear or slightly vaginal discharge, does not smell, does not cause itching or pain in the genital area. Leucorrhoea that changes color accompanied by tenderness in the genital area is a characteristic of abnormal vaginal discharge. In addition, abnormal vaginal discharge can also be accompanied by symptoms of lower abdominal pain, call pain, pain during intercourse, bleeding outside of menstruation. Some examples of causes of vaginal discharge that is not normal is bacterial vaginosis (bacterial infection caused by an imbalance of good bacteria in the vagina), fungal infections in the vagina, and sexually transmitted infections (if you've had intercourse).
The best step now is to immediately consult with a gynecologist further. The doctor needs to ask more about your symptoms and do an examination on you. After that, the doctor will provide appropriate treatment.

Some of the treatments that you can do are:

maintain the cleanliness of the genital area with clean water and dry the use of underwear that easily absorbs sweat avoid the use of tight pants avoid the use of female cleansing soap Hope it helps.
