Leucorrhoea Is Green When 5 Weeks Pregnant?
I want to ask why when I was pregnant my vaginal discharge caused itching but not sore. just this week. What’s up, is it dangerous?
Hi Lusi, thank you for asking with HealthReplies.com.
Leucorrhoea in pregnant women is still normal as long as the vaginal discharge is clear / milky white which smells a little and is generally not itchy. But if vaginal discharge changes color to green, yellow or gray, has a sharp, swollen, or itchy smell, it indicates an infection. Leucorrhoea can be caused by various things, namely:
- Bacterial vaginosis / BV. Accompanied by complaints of itching around the vagina, vaginal discharge, or pain when urinating.
- Fungal infections. Accompanied by pain and itching in the vagina, swelling on the lips of the vagina, a yellowish white discharge, pain when urinating.
Trichomoniasis. Is a disease caused by parasites and attacks the vagina and urinary tract. Accompanied by complaints of green vaginal discharge, pungent odor, itching, and pain during intercourse or urination.
- Gonorrhea. Whitish milky white color, can be accompanied by blood spots, pain when urinating or having sex.
- and others.
You should do an examination with a gynecologist / obstetrician. The doctor will conduct a brief interview, physical examination and additional examinations if needed. So the doctor can provide therapy that suits your condition.
