Lips Feel Itchy And White Patches Appear?
For the past 3 days, my lips have been itchy and white and itchy, itchy and painful, is it true that I have oral herpes?
Thanks for the question. Herpes labialis is an infection with the herpes simplex virus (HSV) which is transmitted from sufferers through direct contact of fluids from the skin on the skin to other people. Symptoms that appear in patients are the appearance of a rash that varies from small pimples to blisters filled with fluid that can appear anywhere in the mouth area, starting from the lips, gums, tongue, and walls of the oral cavity. Sometimes this swelling can also appear on the face, chin, and neck area. This skin disorder can feel sore and itchy.
The complaints you convey may be caused by herpes labialis or thrush. To confirm your complaint, please consult your doctor. Your doctor will need to check for skin abnormalities on your lips to be sure. Further treatment will be given after knowing the cause.
For a while, avoid touching this lip area. Avoid scratching the itchy area. Keep your oral cavity clean by brushing your teeth regularly and using an antiseptic mouthwash if necessary.
Hope this information is useful.
