What food or fruit can normalize blood pressure? My blood pressure is 100/55, then I vomited and my stomach hurt. Even though I only ate one spoonful, I immediately threw up, my body went limp.

1 Answer:

Hello,

Normal blood pressure for people over the age of 17 is 110/70 mmHg. Meanwhile, blood pressure is said to be low if it is below 90/60 mmHg. Low blood pressure, which is an illness, is usually accompanied by symptoms. Symptoms of low blood pressure are dizziness, nausea, loss of balance, chest palpitations sometimes accompanied by shortness of breath, blurred vision and pale face and cold hands and feet. These complaints arise because the blood flow to vital organs slows down and causes oxygen and nutrients to slow down as well as entering the organs.

Actually a person's blood pressure fluctuates throughout the day. Some causes of changes in blood pressure such as physical activity, weather conditions, conditions of lack of fluids, and mood. It should also be remembered, blood pressure results can vary depending on the examination equipment used, blood pressure testing techniques, and the patient's medical condition.

If you choose to do an independent blood pressure check, make sure you are sitting, not talking and have calmed down for at least 5 minutes and are not holding back your urination/defecation.

Indeed, there are medical conditions with low blood pressure/hypotension such as in elderly people who change positions too quickly (eg from lying down and then standing), standing for a long time, lack of body fluids due to diarrhea/vomiting with a frequency of more than 7 times, heavy bleeding , side effects of certain medications, anemia, abnormalities of certain hormone levels, neurological disorders, heart disease, severe allergic reactions and severe infections that affect all organs of the body.

From the complaints you wrote down, perhaps the complaint of low blood pressure accompanied by weakness is caused by vomiting. Maybe your body is experiencing a lack of fluids/dehydration. You should immediately consult a doctor for immediate help.

The doctor will perform a thorough medical examination to confirm your medical condition. If necessary, the doctor will refer you to carry out supporting examinations such as blood tests, heart records and several other supporting tests. Treatment for dehydration conditions may be given by a doctor to improve complaints of weakness.

Try doing the first treatment at home, as follows:

Immediately take ORS. Pay attention to how to make ORS and the recommended amount of ORS for consumption. ORS contains electrolytes that are lost when you vomit.

Warm compresses to your stomach area to reduce pain.

Suck on ginger gum or drink small amounts of ginger water to reduce nausea and vomiting.

Make sure you get enough rest, especially at night (recommended sleep for adults is 8 hours per day)

Consume balanced, nutritious foods in small but frequent portions. Consumption of foods that you like first, may eat fruit/biscuits/bread/cakes. If there is no food you can swallow, focus on taking ORS first.
