Hello doctor … I’m 42 years old woman weighing 69kg. I once checked uric acid with levels greater than one of the normal limit. Now during menstruation I experience pain in my waist so I can’t walk during menstruation. Now it’s been 2 days my right hand in particular 3 middle fingers experiencing prolonged tingling. The question is what happens to me and how can I deal with it? Explanation please. Thank you, doctor

Hello Leniadlan, Thank you for the question

Does this back pain complaint disappear after menstruation ends? If this complaint only occurs during menstruation, then this complaint can be caused by:

pelvic inflammation
endometriosis
myoma
ovarian cyst
adenomyosis

Does this tingling complaint occur only in the hand or also felt from the upper arm or shoulder? Does this complaint disappear when you move your hand? Are you also experiencing weakness in your hands? Tingling in the fingers can be caused by:

peripheral neuropathy for example due to diabetes, vitamin B1, B6, and B12 deficiency
carpal tunnel syndrome
cervical radiculopathy, which is the pinching of nerves in the cervical vertebrae

To ensure the cause, of course, further examination is needed by a doctor. Therefore, before the symptoms get worse, you should consult a neurologist. The doctor will ask further questions about your complaint, examine you, and suggest other tests such as blood tests, X-rays, MRI to find the cause. Treatment given by a doctor will be adjusted to the condition that you experience. Likewise, complaints of back pain during menstruation, if these complaints are very disturbing, it helps you do further tests to a specialist obstetric and gynecologist.
Please avoid repetitive movements on your right wrist. You can do a warm compress on the waist when sick or take pain medication if the pain is unbearable.

Hopefully this information is useful.
