Lump In The Breast Since The Age Of 18?
a year ago I just felt a lump in my right breast.. I remember it was at the bottom, but now it’s at the top and if you press it hard and it doesn’t move… what is that lump?
Thanks for the question. Breast lumps are mostly benign lumps, especially if they appear in women of young adulthood. But you still need to identify lumps that are considered dangerous. Breast lumps can be caused by:
fat necrosis, which is a lump that occurs from the compaction of fatty tissue in the breast due to an injury (eg impact) on the breast
The characteristics of a lump that you should watch out for are if it is accompanied by the following symptoms:
breast skin thickening
discharge from the nipple
changes in breast size or shape
breast skin goes in (dimpling)
a red rash around the nipples
nipples that look pulled into the breast
constant pain in the breast
a lump in the armpit area
To find out the cause of the lump in your breast requires further examination by a doctor. The doctor will need to examine these lumps, do an ultrasound/mammography of the breast, and a biopsy (taking a sample of breast tissue). From the results of this examination, the doctor will determine the cause and further treatment.
