Lump In The Upper Right Neck?
Hello doc .. I am a 43-year-old woman I know there was a lump in the upper right neck just a week ago .. There are no complaints which means only the neck feels sore and the body feels sore, easily tired and sleepy whether because I often treadmill 3 times a week cause me fatigue or there is a connection with a lump in my neck that will cause me to get tired easily .. oh yes doc I have suffered from lymph node tb, can this disease recur? Thank you
Thank you for the question.
Easily fatigue and aches can indeed be caused by physical activity, including exercise, excessive. However, this condition alone should not trigger a lump in the right neck as you experience it.
More likely, a lump that appears on your right neck is caused by lymphadenitis (inflammation of the lymph nodes), skin infections (eg acne, folliculitis, shingles), other inflammation of the skin (for example bitten by insects, contact dermatitis), benign or malignant tumors (benign for example lipoma, sarcoma, lymphoma, leukemia), skin tags, hyperkeratosis, enlargement of the thyroid gland, parotitis, and so on. Judging from your previous history of lymph node tuberculosis (TB lymphadenitis), this condition can indeed be recurring, especially if you have not been thoroughly treated before, if the risk factors are not treated properly, and if your immune system is less prime. However, diagnosing this condition certainly cannot by simply relying on short information like this.
First, you need to have yourself checked by a doctor or internist. Most likely, the doctor will recommend that you undergo further tests, such as blood tests, sputum tests, x-rays, biopsies, ultrasound, etc. so that you can properly diagnose the cause of your complaint, then give him the right treatment, such as by being given medication, performed surgery, and so.
For now, all you need to do is get plenty of rest, don't squeeze or give any lumps, increase personal hygiene, eat a balanced variety of nutritious foods, exercise regularly every day, and be disciplined in living a healthy lifestyle.
I hope this helps.
