Lump On The Back Of The Head Due To Hit?
I want to ask, this is the back of the head suddenly and it doesn’t get hit or what comes suddenly, I think the lump will disappear in 1 or 2 days, but it turns out it’s almost 1 week the lump is still there. When it is pressed it hurts. what and why? Please answer please
The lump on the head can be varied, can be dangerous or not. The most common are caused by injuries, such as collisions, which cause rupture of blood vessels under the skin and eventually form a hematoma. Other causes include lipoma, which is a benign tumor derived from fat. Lipomas are usually soft, can be moved without pain. Other causes such as atheroma cysts, due to blocked oil glands in the skin. Atheroma cysts are usually painful when pressed, can be reddish and have the tip of a blackish spot. Infection of the glands in the skin can also cause folliculitis, which is usually painful and pus-filled. Large pimples on the scalp can also feel like a lump. On the back of the head there are also lymph nodes that can enlarge in certain circumstances.
Less common causes are other tumors or certain cancers. Ovi should check the lump to the doctor for further investigation. The doctor will do a question and answer, examine the lump and if necessary, such as X-ray examination, CT scan or other tests related to the disease.
Ovi needs to be alert if:
The lump felt very painful
Turned into an open wound
Does not go away after 2 weeks
Causes other symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, loss of consciousness and so forth
Re-grow after disappearing or new lumps appear
