Lump On The Eyelid?
Tonight, I want to ask. My eyes on the inside of the lid have lumps and itchy. They’ve been flat and then reappear. This is why? Thank you
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Lumps on the inside of the eyelid may be caused by a bump / hordeolum or kalazion. Other causes that are less common include periorbital cellulitis (usually accompanied by pain and reddish swelling around the eyes), cancer of the eyelids such as basal cell carcinoma of the eyelid or sebaceous gland carcinoma of the eyelid.
Here are some things you can do first:
compress your eyelids with warm compresses
avoid rubbing your eyes with dirty hands
keep the cosmetic products that you use around the eyes clean (including the use of cosmetic brushes)
If it is caused by hordeolum or kalazion, these lesions usually disappear on their own within 1-2 weeks. If indeed the lesion does not disappear or shrink within 2 weeks, you should consult your ophthalmologist for further evaluation of the lump in your eyelid.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
