What do you think this bump is? Thank you in advance!

1 Answer:

Hello Evy,

Lumps in the gums can be caused by the following conditions:

Ginggivitis
Gum abscess
Dental cyst
Mucocele / mucous cyst
Oral lichen planus

It is difficult to ascertain the cause without doing a direct examination yes. Therefore, I suggest that you check with your dentist firsthand so that an examination can be done to ascertain the cause of the lump in your gums so that you can be given more appropriate follow-up treatment. Handling will be adjusted to the results of your examination, be it with drugs to action if necessary.

While waiting for the dentist, you should not squeeze or squeeze lumps, keep your teeth and mouth healthy, consume food that is easier to chew (not sticky and hard), and consume pain relief if necessary. Make sure there is no leftover food on the teeth, and also consult the dentist about your cavities.

Hope it helps you,

Thank you
