Lumps Around The Left Breast And Itchy Nipples?
I want to ask, around 1 month ago there was a lump around the breast before the left, but it didn’t hurt at all, only the nipple felt itchy to touch, then the lump took a long time to drain and now it’s drying, why is that?
Thank you for the question.
Lumps on the left breast that initially secrete discharge and then dry with itching on the nipples as you experience the possible causes can vary, for example:
Fibrocystic breast changes
Skin infections, such as folliculitis, acne, impetigo, tinea versicolor, tinea corporis
Skin inflammation due to other factors (besides infection), such as allergic or irritant contact dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis
Breast tissue infections (mastitis, breast abscess)
Benign or malignant tumors in secondary infected breast, such as cysts, fibroadenoma, Paget's disease
Other factors, such as lymphadenitis, insect bites, drug eruption, dermatitis herpetiformis, and so on
Your condition should be examined directly by a doctor or surgeon. If it turns out your condition arises because of an infection, it could be that your condition will get better enough by being given several types of drugs. If it turns out to be another cause, then different treatments can be given. In some cases, to be clear about the cause of a lump in your breast, your doctor may also direct you to undergo a biopsy, breast ultrasound, or other supporting tests.
In the meantime, you can do it first:
Bathing diligently and clean, then wear a bra and clothes that are clean and loose
Do not scratch or rub excessively the itchy nipple skin
Do not press or gouge lumps in the breast
Clean the liquid that comes out of the lump with a sterile gauze moistened with liquid NaCl
Live a healthy lifestyle
Do not carelessly provide treatment for lumps in the breast or nipples that itch without consulting a doctor first
Hope this helps ...
