I’ve been feeling stuffy nose for a long time. I saw the nose had a lump in the clogged part. The part does not remain in one hole, but often changes right and left, only one of them. I have checked the ENT doctor but he just said there was a virus and was given antibiotics and nasonex. Often my head was dizzy and my nasal mucus came out even though I didn’t have the flu. What does the doctor suggest about my complaint? Is this my disease? Thank you

Hi,

Nasal congestion can seriously interfere with breathing as well as activity. Nasal congestion can be caused by several possibilities including:

rhinitis / flu due to viral or bacterial infection, which causes inflammation of the nasal mucosa and can cause swelling of the konka which can cause it to appear as a protrusion on the inside of the nose allergic rhinitis, which is inflammation of the nasal mucosa due to an allergy to certain substances such as dust, smoke, pollen, animal hair, etc. symptoms of nasal congestion, sneezing, and runny nose polyps, are thick lumps that grow on the inside of the nasal cavity that can cause sinusitis symptoms, which are inflammation of the cavity or sinus wall, symptoms of pain on the forehead or cheeks accompanied by nasal congestion. To determine the exact cause, an examination must be done first, you should check again with an ENT specialist if the complaints do not improve, whether your condition is still only a viral infection or is a viral infection that has developed into a bacterial infection, or do you have advanced conditions such as sinusitis, so that you get appropriate treatment whether you can use drugs alone or need injections in the swollen mucosa. It all depends on the results of your re-examination. Some of the things you can look out for:

If you experience headaches or pain in certain parts of the face such as forehead or nose, you can take pain relievers such as paracetamol. Take temporary medication given by the doctor who examined you previously as directed so that you can monitor your progress after hot steam inhalation therapy drink warm water wash your face with warm water avoid drinking cold water or eating ice avoid air-conditioned rooms that are too cold get enough rest read things related to nasal congestion, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis

hopefully useful, thank you
