Lumps Like Pimples That Feel Painful And Suppurating In The Breast Area?

Good morning doctor.

1 Answer:

Hello Dwi,

Thank you for the question.

Lumps similar to pimples that feel pain and suppuration in the breast area can indeed be caused by one of them by boils or breast abscesses. Boils occur when the hair root is inflamed due to Staphylococcus bacterial infection. Meanwhile, breast abscesses can form when the breast parenchyma becomes inflamed due to infection. Both of these conditions can both cause lumps like acne in the breast area. Not only that, the lumps due to these two conditions can continue to recur, especially if your personal hygiene is poor, if you do have anatomical problems in the roots of your hair and breast parenchyma, if you are often in close contact with sufferers of skin infections and other breast parenchymes, and if your immune system is not good.

In addition to boils and breast abscesses, the lumps that you experience can also arise due to other factors, such as acne, fungal infections, contact dermatitis, insect bites, benign or malignant tumors, fibrocystic changes in the breast, and so on.

If the complaint is dry again, obviously you need to check yourself back to the doctor or surgeon. Often, enough with a physical examination the doctor is able to distinguish breast lumps that are mild and dangerous. However, if necessary, your doctor may also recommend that you undergo a breast ultrasound examination, biopsy, blood tests, and other supportive tests. Depending on the cause, this lump can later only be given medication, surgery, or also other therapeutic modalities.

In the meantime, there are no specific suggestions from us. However, in order for the inflammation to subside, you need to first improve your personal hygiene, warm compresses to the lump area, always use clean and loose clothing and bras, multiply to drink and eat nutritious foods, do not carelessly press or pierce the lump, and do not also provide treatment anything on the lump without doctor's advice.

Hope this helps ...
